Affordable Multi-bed Clinic at the Colombo Centre in Waterloo
The affordable clinic is a multi-bed clinic. You will be treated in an open plan room, with other patients being treated at the same time by other practitioners. This helps keeps running costs low and as a result the price of treatments low. Many patients report the beneficial effects of the community atmosphere in a multi-bed clinic.
On your first visit, the acupuncturist will make a detailed assessment of your health. You will be asked about your current symptoms, past and family medical history, diet, lifestyle and the functions of all the systems in the body. Your pulse and tongue will be examined and your abdomen palpated which provides the acupuncturist with important information for diagnosis. Once assessment is complete, fine pre-sterilised disposable needles are inserted into specific points on your body according to your diagnosis and treatment principle. They are left in place for 10-30 minutes depending on your diagnosis. Sometimes moxibustion, heat lamp, cupping, electro acupuncture or massage will be applied.
Treatments last roughly an hour and the number of sessions required will vary depending on the condition. This will be discussed during your first consultation.

It is required that you eat before the treatment.
All practitioners are fully qualified and insured members of the British Acupuncture Council.
How much does the treatment cost?
The affordable clinic is £30 per session. Concessions are £25. Practitioners are available for private treatments at a cost of £45.
When is the clinic open?
The affordable acupuncture clinic runs throughout the week with different practitioners, my block is Mondays 3pm to 8pm and Thursdays 8am to 12 noon. Private treatments are available throughout the week at the Colombo Centre please contact the number below to book a suitable time.
